In 2016, Brian filed a patent for the Gutter Bin® stormwater filtration system and started the company with Chris Tippie. Working with Wyoming SBDC Network, he:
- Developed a detailed business plan
- Received financing from an angel investor

How It Works
The Gutter Bin® is a low-tech system that:
- Removes pollution from storm water
- Uses a grate and funnel
- Filters water through a Mundus Bag®
- Captures trash, cigarette butts, sediment, heavy metals, and hydrocarbons
Environmental Impact
12 Gutter Bins in Denver captured about 2,500 pounds of pollution in one year.
